Church Crawlers
The members of Church Crawlers arrange visits to churches in the area to discover their history and architecture etc. Wherever possible we invite someone locally to share with us the history of the building and its surroundings and draw our attention to the church’s history, any notable artefacts, features and furnishings.
Often the churches we visit offer tea and coffee for which we either pay for or make a collective donation to the church.
We normally arrange to visit two churches during the morning and arrange to visit a local
eatery for lunch.
Meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month between March and October and arrange a General Meeting in January to discuss a programme for the forthcoming year when members are invited to arrange the church visits. We follow this with all joining for lunch locally.
For transport, where possible we use car share.
Cost: donation and lunch.
