Haverhill and District u3a Welcomes You
The u3a originated in Toulouse, France in 1972 and started in the U.K. in 1982. In 1993, with the help of a branch already established in Bury St Edmunds, Mrs Heather Driver and Mrs Enid Hill founded the Steering Committee of the Haverhill and District branch. The first meetings took place at the Library Community Centre. U3A is dedicated to providing activities for anyone no longer in full-time employment. As our membership grew the monthly meetings moved to the Haverhill Arts Centre. They still take place there on the last Tuesday of each month starting at 10.30am (doors open at 10.00am).
The motto of the u3a is Learn, Laugh and Live and to this end we have over 50 interest groups available to members. Please click the Groups tab for more information. Membership of Haverhill and District u3a is open to anyone no longer in full time employment and we look forward to welcoming you.
For more information about joining an interest group, please contact the Groups Coordinator here.
